I run Internet Explorer 8 and I cannot see any text in the knowledge base. Is there a special setting which I missed?

Yep, the one where we said we don't suport IE8!
We have no support for that browser currently. Best to use Firefox or another browser to view the KB.

So far so good, however, I installed Firefox in Windows 7RC and it does not show the Q&A content either.
So, IE8 is not yet supported. Therefore, by extrapolation,...a not yet released OS would be.....
c'mon, you can say it...they all know....
Hey Joachim,
So I heard from the KB overlords and they tell me that they are able to use IE8 and Win7 to view the KB fairly well.
One thing that was suggested is that the light blue in the GUI could be causing problems with some LCD displays. Were you able to see the KB on your display prior to the Win7/IE8 attempt?
I tested under Windows 7 and under Windows XP/SP3 (32-bit). I run IE8 in both systems, and both do not show any text from Q&A, only the evaluation is seen. I installed firefox 3.07 on both systems and still with firefox I do not see any text from Q&A.
In addidtion, I tried from my Laptop, which has IE7, and I do not get the text there as well.
I temporarely switched off Norton Internet security, however, the text still does not show-up.
Ok, then there is one other possibility, See if this rings any bells.....
This is probably a multilingual issue, especially since you are from Germany. Here is the issue in a nutshell.
· The KB defaults content to the end users browser language
· If your browser default language does not have associated content the result is nothing. We’re working to correct this ASAP.
EXAMPLE:
http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=267087
What English browsers see:
http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=267087&NewLang=en
What non-English browsers see:
http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=267087&NewLang=de
We don’t have an ETA on the correction but are working to default content to English if there is no content for the end users browser language.
So, hopefully that's the problem and we'll get it fixed ASAP.
I think this is the problem, I have. I can see the content in the second case, however, not in the first and third. When I added "&NewLang=en" to the URL of the related Q&A, I got the text in full.
Thank you
