"Start a Conversation" where's it go?

I had a couple questions for Forum Members that I sent with the Start a Conversation tab in their profile.

But now I realize there doesn't seem to be anyway to see if they were alerted 'bout the message.

Moreover how do I know when they've responded?

I guess my question is, does the "Start a Conversation" even work?

I just sent you a test. You'll get an email notification and you will see a new link inside your user profile "my conversations". That is where the complete conversation threads will appear.
