    deck control for Mac MCA...

    continuation of my other post, since I'm too lazy to look it up, lol...

     

    so I got my keyspan USA-19 for control...installed the driver from the supplied disk (i'll see itf there is a specific driver in the avid install) but i do see the options in deck config and communicaion ports...which ones do I choose for deck control?

     

    driver version is 2.5

    Hey Joe....

    What OS you on?   What kind of Mac?    Not savvy to that driver version......  what does the keyspan site say?

    Make sure you dont have multiple Keyspan drivers and this can cause issues.  Does the control panel see the keyspan?

    In Deck Configuration Setting select Add Channel. In the next window select Channel Type: Direct and Port:Keyspan/usbxxx1.1. I'm not sure on the exact Keyspan Port naming but you select the Keyspan port not the Keyspan itself. Next select Auto-configure. If your deck is connected to the 9pin adapter Avid should detect it and select the appropriate remote control setup.
