Hi everyone!I have a problem with the MC Andrenaline. While working with the MC environment,a error msg pop saying
" ERROR 07/15/09: Exception: DecompStream::Set Head Tail: wait timed out waiting on m_ringLock, Stream 0 ".
I looked at it at the avid helpsite but unfortunately found nothing. any comments about this particular error msg? or have anyone experience/saw the same error msg? another inquiry i have is that i'm using an hp xw8200 workstaiton and the video card im using right now is not what Avid recommends. Im really having a hradtime looking for the compatible video card ( NVIDIA FX 1300 ). Is there a documentation wherein i can use other video cards besides from this model? could this have caused the error msg?
Hi there..... Is this error coming up during playback, importing a QT movie, output to tape, etc.... need more scoop here. MCA 2.0.2 was qualified with the following NVIDIA cards that support 3D OpenGL® compatibility: • NVIDIA Quadro®4 980 XGL • NVIDIA QuadroFX 1100 You might be able to get away with another NVIDIA card BUT it has to support 3D OpenGL and you should be using driver version 61.82 with the cards above. I dont think the card is causing this error.

Hi,
Does the Avid website have a driver matrix (something like your Quicktime version matrix) where I can check my NVIDIA card against the various releases of MC?
Editz,
Sure do on the Knowledge Base.....

Thank you so much for replying. The error message comes out after approximately 30 minutes while output to tape of one hour material during playback. You can notice the off sync by 3-5 seconds.I am still trying to communicate with our suppliers if we can still get the video card recommended by Avid ( NVIDIA Quadro FX 1300 ) for the xw8200 worksation. As the situation pose, nvidia might not be providing the model anymore, what do you think should i do? Do you mean any 3D OpenGL video would work?
