Avid and XDCAM HD file naming

    Hi

i got an issue for advanced XDCAM HD users.

i am using Avid media composer 3 for an Xdcam hd multicamra project

the footage is recorded to 3 XDCAM HD vtr's.

whenever i import proxy Xdcam media into Avid, the Avid always give the file it's original name, but not the title name. is there any way of controlling one of this 2 options:

    1. change the Xdcam file name - can i set a user defined file name in the VTR (file name - not a title)
    2. can i set a title name in the VTR and let Avid import the file with the title name instead of the file name?

    Thanks

    not with XDCam HD 4:2:2.

You can only change the filename and/or title before you start recording in the camera.

After it is once recorded, even Sonys Software doesn´t allow renaming.
