    Re: Import P2 Files

know to get P2 footage into the DS is through a Media Composer. You use the Import P2 function in the MC and generate an AAF and MXF media. Bring the AAF into a 59.94 project, park on the FIRST jitter frame in the cadaince and apply a 3:2 contract which should remove the pulldown and then export a TGA sequence and import the TGA sequence into a 23.98 sequence.

Or hold the F key and drag the 59.94 clips into the 24p timeline, then add a 3:2 contract effect on these clips to produce the correct play speed.  This avoids the file export and import.
