Deko 3000 and Avid PostDeko Lite

    Dears,

you've been a great help till now,

Is Avid Deko 3000 the same as Avid PostDeko Lite?

can you advise some technical document on how I can use Deko 3000 to generate a crawl bar and fade in/fade out consequetive transformations?

can I design .dko file on PostDeko Lite and use it in Deko 3000?

    thanx already and best regards,

Re: Deko 3000 and Avid PostDeko Lite

PostDeko Lite is a version of PostDeko that ships with DekoCast.  Deko3000 is a full featured real time Character Generator.  While they both have similar user interfaces and graphics that have been created on PostDeko Lite can be used on the Deko3000.  They are quite a bit different in what they do.  The Deko3000 has real time Video and Key outputs as well as a tremendous amount of effect transitions along with Clips and Cell Animation Playback.  PostDeko Lite was designed to provide the Graphics elements for DekoCast.  There is by the way a full featured version of PostDeko that does provide you with effects building and clip emulation if you are interested you can contact your local Sales rep to get more info.

I hope this helps answer your questions.

Sorry I forgot to address the Crawl question.  Crawls can be set a transition in the Deko3000.  You can set up a sequence to stack multiple crawls using a blank page in between them if you want to do a dissolve in or out of it.
