Dears,
I'm trying to put an AudioPlayback object in DekoCast 3.6, and when I selected the wav file, I clicked play and it was playing, but there's no sound coming out from the de-embeder,
note: the same de-embeder was connected t the out put of DekoCast version 4, and the same wave file, it was working fine,
is there any problem DekoCast 3.6 for sound playing,
or I have something wrong with the configurations, please advise
regards
Ver. 3.6 was released in Sep, 2003 and the next official release was Ver. 3.6.6 in July, 2004. So that version your asking about has been superseded by a later release for 5+ years. In the support lab, we have Ver. 3.6.7 running and we test on that and I just tested that with a .wav file and it works fine.
Here are a couple of things to consider. First, I would create the scene with only an audio object (i.e. no Video In). That way if there is an audio on the input signal, it won't interfere with your testing. Next, go to Options->Preferences->Video Hardware Options and check that for the Video Output A section that you have "Embedded Audio A" checked. You shoudl also specify the number of channels you want to output (typically 2). Finally, the .wav file needs to be 16 bits and 48khz.
If you are still having trouble, call the helpline at 866-639-7364, options 1,5,1 and then you can send us the .wav file so that we can make sure it's ok.
Dave
As Dave pointed out the Audio must be 48KHz. Check that and if it is not correct you can use Audacity to modify it to the appropriate data rate
