Hi All,
I want to partial (or segment) an Avid Op1a MXF file (codec: DV25/50, IMX30-50 or DNxHD) stored in archival storage.
I need to partial this Op1a MXF with input markin/markout timecode so that I can arhieval/retrieval files between Unity (OpAtom) and Archival Storage (Op1a) .
Is there any tool (or 3rd party solution) that can do this without launching Avid NLE environment (NewsCutter...).
My System Details:
Interplay v1.51, ISIS Storage v2.0.1, NewsCutter 7.1.3
Regards
Alex
I'm assuming you have an Interplay Archive Engine, correct?
If you want to bypass the NLE, what and where do you want to restore the partial file to?

I have interplay Engine. We want to archive avid op1a in our archival storage (such as LTO Tape-drive) and latter partial retrieval a segment (checkin) to Interplay and Unity (OpAtom) for NLE. Since DNxHD is a large file, post-production user may only interested in editting a small segment of that clip in NewsCutter, there is no reason to retrieval whole clip ( hundred mega byte) from archival storage to Unity. The FTP Media Browser can do file transfer between workspace and avid environment however it doesn't support partial retrieval.
