Hi
For some reason this morning one of our Avids did not want to start up. It goes through the usual initializing stuff, gets all the way to the workspace but instead of opening a project dialogue box to proceed, it just disappears. No error message, no error log. Yesterday it was fine, this morning it doesnt work....
Coincidentally, the upgrade kit for MC3.5 turned up today as well, so we thought we would do a fresh install of that on the system, but that suffers the same problem so we rolled back to AXP5.7.2 until we get to the bottom of this.
It is an unqualified system, but running all the qualified hardware and drivers (see specs).
The workstation is not on the internet, and no windows updates have been installed recently.
I have trawled the forums but can only find a similar issue with the audio/realtek thing, but this wouldnt seem to be relevant.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Cheers
Adam
