hi everyone,

when i try to playback some dv footage i captured i am getting this error message:

Exception: ADM_DIOERROR_OCCURRED, DIOerr:Flamethrower timeout: Transmit request timed out 200.199000 milliseconds

ingnore the html code. just the part after exception is the error.

can anyone help?

Turn your deck off when you're in the edit mode.

anyone know what that means?

Check the audio sampling rate of your clips. Do they match the project sampling rate as displayed in your audio project settings? If not, either convert to the project sample rate (right click on the clip(s) or sequence and choose "change sample rate..." or in the audio project settings choose "always" for mix sample rates on playback.

they are the same, and i have always on.

If you haven't already, try restarting the computer, then launching Avid with the deck turned off.

Judging from the time zone you're in, could this apply to you?
