Hi,
I’ve been searching posts and community for three days now for answer to this one but no luck.
First my info.
Avid xpress pro 5.8.4
Using a system I built myself, but basically here’s run down of it-
5gigs memory, quard processor 2.66ghz, Nvidia 512mb video card- 9800 Gforce GTX
Windows XP Pro 32bit
This is my first HD project, so please try to humor me. It is shot in 720p- 23.396 on what I believe was a Panasonic DVX 200.
I have had no problems with SD footage. Here is problem I am having-- I download footage off P2 card reader by using method of copying files to folder in one of my hard drives and then copying them to avidmedia file folder. They all show up and most look fine. But a couple of them, (ones with a lot of motion in them) have a digital line running though them, that does not appear in camera or while viewing back from in camera to a monitor. And after doing a couple tests it doesn’t seem to appear back on anything I output to QuickTime file or DVD. It's just a pain to have to try to edit this with lines going though it. Any ideas on how or if this can be solved?
So to state again, HD footage is playing back in both Avid program and fullscreen mode with video hits/glitches that seem like some possible interlacing issue or digital hit that does not appear any where else.
Here is what I’ve tried so far-
I tried re-capturing the footage. I tired multiple different setups/formats. I tried fullscreen mode. I tried changing to OpenGL. Tried changing film and 24p setups. Tried changing Display setup.
No luck on any of these.
Any help I can get would be very appreciated.
Are you seeing this glitch/interlacing/artifacting on the computer monitor or on your outboard broadcast monitor?
good luck,Carl
There is no such thing as a video emergency. My Demo Website
I am getting it on both, and since its HD project my client view monitor is fullscreen playback option. I dont have a HD deck to run it though.
This sounds like your display is updating in the middle of a frame. You can set FSP to only update on vertical interval. Just go to Settings and click on Full Screen Playback. You will see a button labelled something like "Update on Vertical Interval" - I'm at home at the moment, so I can't check exactly what the setting is called. Turn it on and see if your problem vanishes.
I've switched that option on in the full screen playback. It has no effect.
