This is why I hate DV and HDV and anything that comes in via FW.  I just had 20 DVCam tapes delivered to me from a client and the TC was butchered all up.  one tape has the TC start at 10 hrs 40 mins and goes for about 15 mins before the TC restarts back at 10 hrs and continues to about 10 hrs 30 mins (thank god it didn't go into 10 hrs 40+ mins).  and it was tape #2... which by any professional account should've had a TC start of 2 hrs in the first place.

I ended up capturing them all using 422 and the TC never once gave me a problem.  FW is just too flakey.  I think I'm done with it
