Could some one test an export like this to see if they get the same error?

Hi. I have figured out an export issue through trial and error. Could this be a bug in MC 3.5?

it seems that If i export an AAF as an aaf not omf format, (for pro tools) audio only no video with consolidated media to the same folder as the exported file -it hangs at the end with an error. The reason for this I believe is the directory name is too long.

can some one try a segment of their sequence as above and name the directory "audio post for 5.1 mix june 30 2009" and see if it gives an error on export?

if the file and directory length are short then it works. exactly how short i dont know, but i kept them short and it worked fine.

    Thank you

I don't have 3.5, but I do believe that Avid bin names are limited to 27 characters. Perhpas this is limit that also shows up with what you're doing?

Thanks.. you are probably right, its just that it actually goes through the entire export, and then hangs at the end giving an error. It doesn't actually tell you anything is wrong until then.
