    Encoding to AVCHD

    Been searching all over the net for a while now and thought I'd try the experts here.

    Does anybody know if it is possible to encode a quicktime to AVCHD format and 'write' that back to the camera? So that the camera becomes a HD deck for viewing edited AVCHD clips on a television.

    It seems that AVCHD is a 'read only' format and only cameras can write to that codec.
