    Deko v5.2 Released for Deko 3000 systems

    Avid Deko v5.2— Available Now

    Deko 5.2 provides customers with faster, easier 3D graphics workflow and simplified “push-button” access to animating character effects.

     

    The primary enhancements of this release for Deko 3000 systems include:

    • Support for leading 3D formats including FBX and Collada 3D models from Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Softimage 7.5 and MAXON CINEMA 4D 3D applications
    • New one-click creation of animating Glow and Glint Motion Behaviors
    • Improved usability of Deko3D workflow through UI enhancements

    Getting the Upgrade:

    This is a free software upgrade for customers with a current Avid Support contract. Deko 3000 customers with a valid support contract can download the v5.2 software from the download site.

    Notes:

    • This release supports the Deko 3000 only. Support for Deko 550 and Deko 1000 will be available in July 2009 and will be announced at a later date.
    • Customers experiencing trouble accessing the download should be directed to downloadhelp@avid.com.
