    720p or 1080i for downconvert?

    We are starting a new docco and the producer insists on using a Sony XDCAM EX3 camera. The edit will be  on MC ver 3.1.3. Can anyone suggest which HD format, 720p or 1080i would be better handled in MC to get a good 25i output? Also, would MC ver 3.5 be better for ingest and output? This edit will be on an HP XW8400 workstation, 4GB RAM, SDI mojo. Thanks, Stu
