Putting a FX4600 in XW8400 possible ?

Avid had said that in order to use the realtime proxy function, it will require a FX3700 / FX4600

we are currently running the DS 10.1.1 with xw8400, so is it possible to put a FX4600 and has the realtime

proxy working ?

Engineering only has tested and qualified the NVidia 3500 in the HP xw8400 workstation.

And even if the 3700/4600 would install and work, the GPU/CPU software acceleration would not be enabled because the application detects the hardware and activates the feature only for supported platform, and at this time it is the HP xw8600.

Then, to clarify, the xw8400 isn't supported in a Xena-only (no Nitris DNA) configuration?

Correct, they don't have the processing power that the 8600 has. I had the Xena on the 8400 for a couple of months, it worked great as an assist station.
