Anyone know how I maanged to do this. I captured a 20 minute interview. Then I went through it and pulled out the bits of sync I wanted and subclipped them. The audio is on channel 2, channel 1 is just the camera mike. I did this for 6 different interviews. Now I find that half of the sub clips have both channels , but half of them only have channel 1. I have no idea how I did this. Is there a setting somewhere that allows you to subclip individual channels? Is there any easy way to attach the missing channel back to the subclips or do I have to go back and sub clip each one again? I can do it the long way round of match frame back to the original clip and go find my end point and create a new subclip, but its a lot of unnecessary work.

It's actually very easy to do if you accidentally turned off one of the track lights in the timeline before you hot the subclip key command(s).

That must be it. So just to be clear if I have a timeline open, with only one audio track selected, as I subclip from the source monitor it only carries one audio track over? And likewise if I have deselected the video in the timeline, the subclips dont have any video. I just tried it and it seems to be the case. Useful now I know it, but a pain to have to repair the damage. Cheers blkdog for such a speedy reply.
You are correct. That's how it is designed to work. Subclips are completely dependant on the tracks you have selected in your timeline.
