    AVID MC New project settings

    Dear All,

    I can not be alone in wanting to save a bit of time every time i start a new project with a default set up on AVID MC.

     I would like a new project to have the following

    1) Pre named Audio tracks ie,

    A1 = ACT IV PTC

    A2 = Actuallity

    A3 = Track

    2) A bin named Rushes and one named Sequences.

    3) A clock and some sfx pre loaded in the bin named Rushes.

    It sound just too hopefull but i have become aware from watching the excellent tutorials by Douglas that there is a lot more to MC then meets the menus.

    Many thanks

    Tim

    Re: AVID MC New project settings

    Hi Tim,

    What a lot of us do is create one standard project with all the elements we use again and again (clocks/countdowns, bars, tone, prebuild sequences, etc).  When we create a new project, we open the elements bins from the standard project and use the elements within.  Although it still isn't as efficient as what you're asking for, one advantage is the media associated with the standard project is not deleted when it comes time to delete the media for completed projects.

    good luck,
    Carl

    p.s. FYI, you posted this in the User Groups forum.  I'll get it moved to the Feature Request forum.
