I am working freelance on a Mac system that was just upgraded from MC 3.0 to 3.5. It is the new Mojo DX.
(small production company with no engineer-types...)
I have edited a project in HD but I need to make a SD betaSP master of it. Supposedly, this mojo can do a real-time downconvert, however, the mojo box only has an SDI output. My deck needs component.
I still have the old mojo box with a component output.
Any suggestions on how to downconvert this?
Thanks
In tools, go to the video output tool. and in the downconvert pulldown, you can choose from centercut, letterbox, and something else that I can't remember 'cause I don't use it. You would have to either use the old Mojo or go through an sdi-component converter to get the component signal to the Beta SP deck.
Good Luck.
Andy
Haven't done it for a few months, but I believe with the old Mojo you just go to the top of your project window and switch the project type to a 480 (standard def) mode. Then the Mojo will output the SD component signal you need. You may need to add a 16:9 Reformat effect to a top video layer in your sequence to squeeze the image properly.
