Re: IE 8 on WU Be careful and do not auto update

I do not think I had the Beta version of IE 8  but I certainly had problems.

Running MC 3.0. with windows XP sp3.

Lost all audiosuite functions with IE 8  when projects with audiosuite effects in them were launched MC would lock up on machine.  This happened fairly recently (within last month) maybe on an auto update?  because the project I am now having issues with worked just fine with an earlier version of IE 8 installed .

Trying to launch audiosuite in new project with IE 8 in the current form caused same lock up.

The only way to get out was to CTL/ALT/DEL and shut down program from task manager

Uninstalled IE 8 and all functionality in audio suite came back.

Yes, thats about summarize it all, or, to say it in another way, if you have a car that works excellent, goes fast, always starts and uses very little petrol,  you don´t dismount your carburator and ignition system just for fun, to see if it will go even better... you are just satisfied with what you have ...

For those of you who don't want to turn off auto update but don't want IE8, here's a link to a page that allows you to prevent auto update from downloading IE8.
