Please can someone help with a quick pointer in the right direction.
I shoot on a sony z1, edit on Avid MC. I want to know with just these items if i can capture HD and then edit it.

Short Answer: You can capture your footage from your Z1 via a firewire connection to the computer with MC, and then you can edit it.

Longer answer: However a lot will depend on your computer. Its components and its power.

I use a Z1 and an FX1 from Sony and work exclusively in HDV format in MC
