I'm using MC 3.5 on a project that is over 3 hours long. When I go to export the full sequence, I get an error saying "Audioexport_File_too_large needed in kb 2156406"
Has anyone seen this error before or know what it means? I found that I can export almost the full sequence (up until the last 20 minutes or so) without the error coming up.
My audio project is set at 48kHz and I have an Avid 3GB profile running at 2700. Please help! Thanks!
What kind of file are you trying to export?
I assume you have sufficient space on the destination drive?

I'm trying to export a Quicktime movie, standard def 720x480. Yes, there is ample space on the drive.
Thanks.
Hi,
how is the drive formated? FAT32 or NTFS? But a FAT32-formated drive would allow you files up to ~4GB...
Regards, g_f
The drive is NTFS so it should be fine. But I have run into that problem before with FAT 32, except then it says there is not enough drive space. Thanks anyway!
Bump.
Anyone has seen that before? There are currently two users having the same problem.
To the two OPs: you both have not posted your system specs yet, please do so (including software versions of MC, QT & nVidia drivers). Maybe we can find some hint there.

Yes, a quite common prob, they believe that the users at this forum are magicians, able to see through the internet connection what type of sys and computer they are using..

give us the iso files back in Avid Dvd please, no gi files for me
Hey,
Mjolnarn, I am a reseller writing on behalf of my customer. I dont have the luxury have having the computer right in front of me right now, but what I do know is....
Specs of the system are...
-Avid supplied XW8400
-4Gb Ram
-QT 7.5.5
-MC 3.1.1
I also tried this same scenario on the same versioning on a brutally unsupported laptop and was successful. The drives are formatted NTFS, not Fat 32, so its certainly not a file size limitation. The system running it is to truly up to spec.
I'm using Vista Business 32 bit
Quicktime 7.6
Dell Precision T5400
Intel Xenon CPU E5410 @2.33GHz
RAM 4GB
NVIDIA Quadro FX 570
Media Composer 3.5
However, i also tried exporting on a system running XP, MC 3.5, Nvidia Quadro 1500 and experienced the same error. Thank you for replying, magicians.

Problem verified with a 3,5 hour timeline, works well on a 1,45 timeline, I will check the size and speed of the file created from the 1,45 timeline
I am able to reproduce this and I only need to choose the audio export to get the error, seems to be a 3 hours limit, will do some more tests and also with 3,12
I have the same error in 3,12
MC - s file exporting options have never been the thing that it is most famous for, the soloution to this prob seems to be to use an external encoder as , for example Squeeze, that comes together with the bundle and a QT ref file.
I did one more test in 3,51 , did an audio mixdown of the 3,5 hours and placed that mixdown on a new sequense, only audio, tried to do an export to qt movie as described by the OP with only audio but got the same error .......
