I have been given a laptop at work with avid xpress pro loaded in it . It I am trying to capture Video from a SONY DSR-500ws Camera. It has a Firewire but the avid does not see any input. Looked around the internet see this has been a problem, but can not seem to find a solution. has anyone solved this? Thanks
Hi,
It would help to know your system specifications.
good luck,Carl
There is no such thing as a video emergency. My Demo Website
this is a company computer that is used for BPJ i know it worked ok but it can not find the DSR-500 I tried generic dv device and some sony settings but they do not have that setting on the pull down menu. thnaks
So that's a "no" on the system specs?
it would help to know what is in the system. For example if the firewire card is from a certain brand we might be able to tell you if it ever will work.. without that info we are as helpless as you.
