Interplay: Check in to ProTools Audio & VideoMixdowns

    Hello Avid,

i have a problem with ProTools & Interplay. When i activate in the Avid Interplay Admin Tool an audio mixdown and the video mixdown, and check in a sequence to ProTools the two mixdowns does appear in ProTools. But also appear in the ProTools-Session the "original" tracks from the Avid.

Is there a chance to disable the original tracks from the Avid by importing the Interplay sequence into ProTools???

I don´t need the original clips from avid...

    Thanks for the help..

Re: Interplay: Check in to ProTools Audio & VideoMixdowns

Posting a reply form one of our engineers:

Currently, the behavior for checking in a sequence to Interplay for Pro Tools is that the check in contains all of the original video and audio tracks plus the new Audio Mixdown and/or video mixdown tracks. Right now there is no setting that will allow just the audio/video mixdown tracks to be checked in.

They can however, upon importing the sequence into Pro Tools choose in the PT import dialog window to only import the tracks they want. See the attached JPEG. Tracks 1 - 4 could be the original Avid Audio tracks and 5/6 could be the Audio Mixdown. Video shows up the same way, you would set any track you did not want to "none" and the tracks you want to import to "new track".
