System crashed trouble with opening bins

My computer crashed while working on a project.  When I opened up my project and tried to open up my bin I get an error message stating that the bin does not have a valid domain name.  Is there a way to reasign a domain name,  or any other way to recover my sequence or my clips from this bin?

Not really. Sounds as if the bin file has been corupted by the crash.

You can go to your Attic and recover the last saved version though.

If you are getting a domain error, that means the file structure of the bin on the hard disk is corrupted.  It probably happened because it was open when you crashed.  If you go to the attic, it will have the most recent auto saves of the bin from before the crash.  Most likely it is in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Avid Media Composer.  If not, you can perform a windows search for it.

You will want to find the most recent one and move it to the desktop.  Within Media Composer, open the bin through File>Open Bin.  Create a new bin and copy everything from the attic copy into it.

thx everyone for your help.  There wasn't a folder for this project in the attic.  I downloaded the upgrade and installed it,  then I was able to recover the clips from the media tool.  Since the upgrade I haven't crashed,  so something must have been wrong with the older version.
