    Cant capture with Canon HV30

    I'm trying to capture with a Canon HV30 but I get a "no input singal present". I'm running MC 3.1.1.

    Any thoughts?

    Open the camera before you open MC.

    For deck choose Canon XHA1 and rename it to HV30.

    I have tried and captured but this was at MC 3.0.

    From Monday that I will have my own MC Copy I will tell you in more details as we have the same camera.

    How are you connected with that camcorder.  I checked and it is not one of the supported models so what device template are you using?

    Did you set any menu settings on the camera or are you using the default?

    I am not sure that something that can work in previous version can't be used to the next one.

    Try also to have the output from HV30 to HDV and not to auto.

    Marianna I tried and capture over 2 hours with some stops periodically but tha cam can be seen from MC as PAL DV Device or something but also if yourename the XHA1 to HV30.

     sverkalo, what were your settings on the camera. Did you have AV-DV on or off?

    There is a small free applications called HDVSplit. Google for it. It does a perfect job, for free: captures and scene detects HDV streams. And it does not costs thousands of dollars, it is free. MC will import with no problem at all the result.
