I just finished setting up a second OS on my system to run ProTools with my 002. Can the Mojo also run on the second OS for the world clock function? If so are there separate drivers available for the Mojo installation?
Any word as to when these two programs Media Composer and ProTools will be compatible on the same OS?
Thanks
word is that will be soon the case. In another thread it is said to be in the next release.

Hi, we have exactly that configuration on one of our xw8400s. Provided you are on Windows XP (NOT VISTA) it will work fine. We are on MC v3.1.1 and ProTools v8.
Just install ProTools on the second system drive and you will be offered the option to also install the "Avid Video Engine". This is what drives the Mojo. No other re-config of the system is required. It really is very easy.
FYI - You might find you need DV Toolkit 2 to get the full functionality out of PT when mixing for film/TV.
Best,
Hugh
So is the "Avid Video Engine" now offered with ProTools 8? I currently have 7.3. Thanks!
Yes. It is one of the options listed in the dialogue that appears early in the PT install process on an XP system(along with MP3, DigiTranslator etc.). IT DOES NOT, however, appear when installing PT on Vista as no Avid hardware is currently supported on Vista.
The video engine option first appeared in PT v7.4 if my memory is correct.
Thanks Hugh, yes I do have DigiTranslator, I guess I'll have to upgrade to PT8.
Cheers
