Problem when I import .avi---->WHITE SCREEN

Hi, i'm using Avid Media Composer v2.5.3, when I import .avi files, I can't see any image, only a white screen. I was reading about this problem, and it says that I must have a codec which I don't have. Do you have any idea of which codec I have to install?

Try this link or this one to determine which codec you need. Also, here's another link for downloading Avid QT codecs.
