esata or fw 800 for HDV

     Hi all,

it happens that my clients want more and more HDV.

Lucky me, i call a Sony Z1E my own.

Since my second internal HDD is full with project data, i gotta go a new way

and want to which one you would prefer: eSata or fw800.

    Any Pros or cons?

    thank you in advance

    regards

    FSD

My preference would be for eSATA rather than Firewire 800.  There's less and less FW800 out there and eSATA is faster.

However if you're working with HDV and not converting to anything else and your system handles DV it should also be OK for HDV.

I'd have to back John on this one e-sata is the way to go there wasn't to much FW800 to begin without there let alone now...Ps I just bought an 1Tb e-sata external drive for $220 and plug that into my laptop and presto you cant beat that! If memory serves mr well e-sata id 3.5 times faster than FW800!
