Hi and welcome to the Forum. Please take the time to complete your system specifications in your user's profile so we can help you better. But without knowing your configuration, this can be a sync reference signal problem. What are you using for sync ref in your system? If it's an external black signal, does the sync lock on the video output tool show "reference"? Does this problem happen both in normal playback and during a digital cut?

Hey Larry - on my setup I'm using just a JVC studio monitor and the analog mojo. Is the mojo keeping sync for me with this scenario or is it software driven from Avid?

Kyler:
The Mojo has a connector for "Ext Ref in". If you have a black signal going to it, it is the Mojo more than the software keeping things in sound/sync, espcially on a digital cut. Also in the case of an externally driven Mojo, your sync lock on the video output tool should be set to "reference", and the same reference signal should be going to your tape deck with the deck locked to external sync as well.
Oh yes, and one other issue I almost forgot. You need to running screen resolutions supported by Avid or sound/sync can slip. Not at my Avid right now to check, but I believe the recommended screen resolution for both monitors is 1280 x 1024.
