I have Avid Express proHD ver 5.2.4 and have used it ok for 3 years now but recently have been experiencing a problem with a digital cut. Everything seemd to work fine untill I come to do a digital cut and this halts after about 10 mins into a 30 min prog but varies with the flag error video overload. I have switched off all virus checking (I hope) anyone got any ideas. I have also had trouble getting the deck to be recognised. All I have done is to transfer the computer internals to a rack mount chassis and increased the memory. By fiddling with the ports etc I found assigning com 2 usually works but its still a bit hit and miss which it never used to be.
any ideas
Kevin
It's very possible that this could be a bad media file. Could you give us the exact error message?

Yes indeed... also make sure all audio is set at the correct sample rate.. but it does sound like a corrupt media file. Are the drives filled up or is there still say 10% free space?
