Hello.
I´m working in a project (4:2:0 / 25i Pal) that needs to include a animation map from 3dMax. When I import this animation map in MC 2.8.1 (sequence tga without fields) the red color appears saturated and the lines that separate the different regions from map seem to have aliasing.
In order to try to solve the problem with the red color I have tried, without success, to import the sequence with different levels from color. I even requested a new render l to the 3D operator with the red less saturated..... nothing!
If you observe tga sequence in any viewfinder of images they see perfectly
Where it is the problem?
In case you weren't already aware, Avid will keep a parked frame on a single-field, which usually causes some degree of aliasing all by itself. (Noticable particularly on graphics.)
What happens if you import the TGA sequence as 1:1? (Because that'll prevent conversion from RGB TGA files to 4:2:0 colour sampling).
Also, are you ensuring you switch the import colour space option to RGB?
If you import your TGA sequence to Avid, what does it look like if you export a QT Reference file back to the desktop and check it?

Thanks malefunktion!! import tga sequence as 1:1 it has been the solution for both problems.
With your permission, I have another questions.
1) Why the quality of image is different in the window from composer of avid and the QT Reference ?
2) It has been always advised that when different color samplings in same timeline becomes a transcodificación before exporting. It is necessary transcode all edit material to 1:1?
3) I need export final edit to Avid dvd. What level color is more appropriate?
Thanks!
1) Avid uses 1 field, not the 2 fields, of each frame in de composer window. Iess data to be handled that way.
2) always do a mixdown before exporting, that will transcode your files to one resolution, or import at the resolution that is used for most clips
3) RGB is for computer monitors, 601/709 is for tv screens
