I currently have my work email address active. Just did a test post and it seems this problem is recurring. Is anyone else seeing this?

I received e-mails this morning, so I guess it is working?

Yeah, I'm having major malfunction issues with my Verizon email account. They blocked out an entire domain to me because of some anonymous complaint about me (allegedly) being a spammer! Doing battle with the idiots at Verizon as we speak.
must be those 8,000+ posts!
;-)
I do not get email notifications too, and I'm unable to send/receive emails sent from the forum interface; no spam filters and the like on my side, what can be done?

At this point, I recommend you ping Adam Kranitz on this one.
We will be looking into this issue.

Thank You for Your interest Kevin; as of now things have gone worst: I tried to start a conversation with Marianna but she never got my message (I have had to get in touch with her via email client)...
In case this may help someone with a similiar problem: I've changed the email in my profile to a Yahoo account and things are working now, Thanks for the tip to Marianna and the web team at Avid who investigated the matter.
I haven't had email notification all week (maybe longer).
I'd rather not set up a Yahoo account.
If You already have another email try that. According to Marianna gmail works too, and they're working on it, it's a matter of how the mail servers on both ends communicate...
Guys,
Verizon and other carriers have recently begun blocking incoming emails on port 25. It could be that the forum emails are being filtered out by your provider(s).

I'm on Verizon at home, and I had this exact problem with them. It took almost an entire day to convince verizon to lift their filter. Apparently, when THEIR spam software decides something is spam, the user is almost powerless to correct it. The verizon reps were essentially shrugging their shoulders and saying "there's nothing we can do about it" until I threatened to terminate ALL of my verizon services if they didn't fix it. I had to go through two levels of verizon supervisors before I finally got satisfaction. GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
Larry, I do not want to GRRRR!!!! You but I have to tell You that the mail that I've sent You on Sept. the 23rd answering to the mail You sent me (!) came back as undeliverable, and as far as I can see that wasn't a verizon account.
Then THAT one must be from my Pentagon Channel address. We have been having severe spamming issues at work and the IT people are playing around with different filtering techniques, so that's very possible. Try sending me an email to the verizon address I sent you in the conversation.
