does anyone know which effects are [GPU] accelerated in MC 3?
After reading this post: http://community.avid.com/forums/p/60366/338388.aspx
and enterting AcplGpuEffects true into the Console, i discovered that Avid defaults to turning ACPL effects off for my GForce 8800GTS. But if I turn it on manually, I don't see any noticeable difference in performance.
on a side note, i noticed that in an HDV project, I can get 5 streams to play in PIP in full green mode without dropping frames. But if I have only 1 stream of video, and I use the Avid 3D effect, the video starts to stutter....even if I'm just doing a simple crop....this doesn't seem right for some reason especially since i'm only showing CPU utilization at about 33%.
Hi
I can guess ACPL will render 3D effects faster.
btw: How did you overclock your Q9450?

That's what I'd expect. Avid software is written to take advantage of the OGL in the Quadro FX series cards.

my motherboard has a bunch of overclocking options. it was quite easy actually....and i have to say the difference between 3.4 and the stock 2.66 is readily apparent.
