Alright, I shot a feature on 24P HDV. At the time, Avid did not support this format. So, I ended up bringing everything onto the computer going analog out of my camera into a mini-DV deck which transcoded it to 60i SD. The film is almost completely cut, but I still need to do an audio mix. I would love to replace all the footage with HD footage and digital audio instead of audio that essentially came out of a headphone jack.
Is there a way of automatically converting a 60i EDL to 24P? I mean, I could do the math for each and every cut and then create a new time line and drop these shots in one after the other, but with all the audio channels and all the cuts, this could take forever. Any ideas?
