"Additionally, media created in Deko, PostDeko and DekoCast products can now also be saved with the Avid DNxHD® QuickTime codec. This provides fast import to Avid editors, which will expedite the process of adding HD motion graphics across a broader workflow."
- Avid press release 26 JUNE 2008
Congrats you're halfway there Avid team. Now how about import of DNxHD files into the Deko's?
I render my graphics out of After Effects using the DNxHD codec. I do this because that's the format we use on our NLE's (Media Composer and DS). I'm forced to render out the files again to ingest them into the Deko's because they must be rendered out using the QT animation codec. Rendering the file twice slows down the workflow.
Why can't Deko import files created with Avid's own DNxHD codec?
EVS can utilize DNxHD.

Digital vision has solid DNxHD integration.

Again, how is it that a growing list of companies outside of Avid are embracing DNxHD, however their own Deko line cannot import DnxHD files?
