    mp3 import issue

Hello, all. I've been importing mp3 files with no problem for years. Since I upgraded to MC3, the mp3's import and the Media tool shows them as AIFF with an appropiate file size. I haven't changed any of the settings for import. I load the clip into the source monitor and it does not play. (The cursor moves but no sound.)  Oddly, if I mark in and out in the source monitor, the correct duration of the clip is displayed. I know I could convert the original file to a WAV, but I've always been able to work with mp3's.  Any ideas?

If you create a bin view that shows offline, are they actually online or not?

Hi, Larry. The bin view shows the clip as online.

Double-check that Convert Sample Rates while playing is set correctly.  Since upgrading to MC3, it may have reverted to "never" by default.

That was my first thought. It's set to "always".
