    CM_NO_TRACKS_FOUND

    Hi all,

I keep getting this error when I launch Media Tool, which then only displays a tiny fraction of my media.

I have a huge amount of media at DV 25 411 MXF on a single 750 GB external FW 800 drive which is about 75 to 80% full. I have deleted the media databases and pmr files, but that solves nothing. I haven't had any recent quarrantine warnings.

The media all seems to be there when I work from the bins, but most of it doesn't show up in media tool, which I use to search for clips - essential for such a big project.

I am also concerned that further down the line I might run into other problems.

Does anyone know of a solution? (other than repeatedly moving small numbers of media files to a new avid media files folder for Avid to scan and thereby narrow down the problem files; this would take hours, if not days)

    Any help much appreciated

I've been getting this since 2.8. It hasn't hampered my work but I too, miss media in the media tool. I've reported it to Avid but, so far,no luck reproing it.

    Hi BLKDOG

    Thanks for your response.

May I ask whether Avid acknowledged your report of this problem. I am very eager to have it sorted out, as I use media tool constantly in my workflow.

    Re: CM_NO_TRACKS_FOUND

I had this problem yesterday and from searching old forums found that when recreating the media databases Avid put a "+" in front of the name of the files that were corrupt. This only happened if I selected "Continue" repeatedly when the message came up.

So after deleting the databases several times and then deleting the marked media files I got rid of them all.

But this is on an older Meridian Xpress Pro system, and I have a feeling things might work differently on the newer systems...
