    Avid Projects gone-Help...

     Hey All-

Im running AXP V. 4.8.4 on a G4 933mhz /OS 10.4.3  When I tried to fire up Avid, all my projects were gone.  All the media appears to still be on my 2 Lacie external drives.  I went to the internal drive on my CPU.  I see all the projects under AXP shared projects.  Could the shared projects folder in my CPU internal drive be corrupt?  Could I create a new folder and transfer all projects into the new folder?  Any constructive advice appreciated.

    Thanks

    Brian

Start by running Repair Disk Permissions, in the Disk Utility.

Can you not just navigate to them from within the Project selection dialog box? Once you tell the software where your projects live, it should remember.

Do you really want to know what's wrong...or do you just want me to fix it?

Try navigating to that folder manually by selecting External and then clicking on the Folder Icon in the upper right of the Open Project dialog box and see if the Projects appear correctly.

Hey- I solved my problem and thought I would pass along what I found. My avid projects folder in my internal CPU drive was corrupt. I created a new folder, moved all the project folders into it and dumped the corrupt folder. When I booted up AXP, all my projects wererecognized by Avid. Woo--Hoo! Brian
