RGB color correction method for web delivery

A good portion of my work lately is video going directly to web delivery.  I want to color correct the video for RGB space (rather than broadcast, etc.).

What is the best workflow for this in Avid?
    1. color correct to Avid YUV range (16-235) and then export with RGB levels and have Avid stretch the range out to 0-255 (problem is that I will not see the image until export)

    2. color correct to 0-255 and export as 601 levels so that Avid does not effect the color/luma ranges

I think I may have just answered my own question for myself, but I will ask anyway.

The 1. works for me. In MC 2.8.3 and MC 3 you have to select RGB color range in Export window to make it effective. (The 709 / RGB switches in Avid's codecs are now overrided by settings in Export window.) Export to QT file using Avid's codecs only. If you use for example the h264 codec, you'll get changed tonal range. Simply install Avid's codecs to machine which run the encoding software for required web formats.
