Hello all,
I'm working on a Mac Pro 3.0 GHZ Dual Core Intel Xeon with 3 terra byte and 1 250gig hard drives 7 GIG's of ram and a NVida 7300GT video card and I'm running 10.5.2 with Quicktime 7.4.5. I have a old school Mojo and I'm running MC 3.0 and I keep on getting "Cannot locate Firebob Hardware" were I keep on having to re-boot the entire machine before I can continue on capturing. This only happens during capturing. I can edit with no errors what so ever, this error only appears while capturing. I'm capturing from a DVcam Sony DR-750WR camera (I believe is the model) into a 23.98 NTSC project. Ever since I upgraded to 3.0 this error has now come up. I have the mojo connected to the internal firewire card. Any help on this issue would be greatly apprciated. Its just really annyoing having to re-boot the entire system have way or a quarter of the way (It makes no difference on how far in the bin capture it gets it just does it when it feels like it) I get all my shots sent and imported via ALE so all the clips are properly logged and no more than 4 mins. Please help.
Cheers
Isn't there an issue with Avid and Apple communicating using the 1394? I believe this is a documented bug that is being worked on quite seriously and, from what I hear, attempting to clear up quickly.

There absolutely is and that's the reason for all of the warnings about not running 3.0 with Leopard and the DNAs.
You can use MC without the Mojo but, as soon as you connect it you will get this type of error. A fix is in the pipeline.
