MC 3.0 and Protools on same system?

I've read a few peoples posts that you can't run Protools on the same system with MC 3.0, but is this a new development with 3.0? I'm currently running 2.8.3 and Protools 7.3 on our system with no problems.. not having access to protools would be a definite reason to not upgrade for us if this is in fact the case..

does anyone have any experience with running both Protools and MC 3.0 on the same system (even if it's not possible?)

    Thanks,

    Glenn

I have had 7.3 running on the same system as 2.7 and 2.8. Protools 7.4 broke that here and no time to problem solve it at present
