Hello, does anyone know what the best settings would be to export a video for playback on a Blackberry? Specifically, it's Sprint's Blackberry Curve 8330. Thanks for the help
You can export your project to squeeze and convert it to a format that your phone can play. Propably MP4 or H263.
To convert it from a dvd or mpeg Handbrake does a good job.

Thanks for the response, Leon. I hadn't tried Squeeze yet, but I am running into the same problem with Squeeze that I am when trying to send it via File, Export. That is, there are multiple settings within AVI and Windows Media formats and I have not been able to find one that allows it to display on my Blackberry. I have tried multiple framerates, codecs, videotypes, etc. and the best I have found so far is an AVI that freezes up after the first five seconds. I will look into using Handbreak later today and see if that fixes my problem.
Hi,
Depending on what version of Squeeze you have, there ought to be an MP4 preset that would give you a good starting point. I tried without success to find out from the Blackberry website what kind of video the Curve plays.
good luck,Carl
There is no such thing as a video emergency. My Demo Website
I haven't used it yet, but in Premiem CS3 there are a wide range of templates for all types of phones. These templates let you see exactly how it will display on each device, and there's even ways to test the file for that device, as carriers will thottle back the datarate you can send them. Not sure if your device is in there, but perhaps in the specs it will tell you. Pretty slick tool.
