    MC3 and Magic Bullet

To add to the list of little discoveries for MC3 (maybe mods should pin a thread to the top)

Installed with minimal hiccups, testing 3rd party fx packages ran into a small snag with Magic Bullet. Applying look suite segment effect returns a black screen and odd little error message across the bottom of the composer window then crashes MC (windows: "MC has encountered a problem needs to close...") realized the effect has a defualt "use GPU" setting in the effect editor. Un-checking this allows effect to work (but does drag down the render time a bit). Must be a code conflict with AVID's GPU use.

MediaComposer 3 on HP nw9440 (2.17ghz dual proc-nVidia 1500m-4gig RAM) / AXP 5.8 on HP 8710 (2.1ghz dual proc-nVidia n320m quadro-4gig RAM) USB or eSATA... [view my complete system specs]

"Use GPU" in Look Suite never worked for me on any version of MC. Magic Bullet Looks works fine in 3.0 for me though.

What version of Magic Bullet are you using?

We had a beta site report a similar problem using MB v 2.0.

The problem was fixed when he moved to MB 2.1.
