Am I to understand that I STILL cannot run Media Composer 3.0 and Pro Tools LE 7.4.2 on the same system even though they're now both blessed for running Leopard? I now have only one system that meets the requirements of the latest Media Composer and it's the same one I need to run Pro Tools on... how can I do this? I'm apalled that Avid STILL hasn't addressed this since they make both products.... I want to use your software, but how can I when I can't run it on the system that has your OTHER software installed?
Make two partitions on Your c: drive.
Install Windows on both and install MC on one partition and PT on the other.
since I posted this in the mac forum, I assume you mean I should make two partitions on my mac drive and install OS 10.5.3 on both? pretty inelegant solution don't you think? I do have two partitions on the laptop I'm using (use second partition for audio media) so I suppose I can do that.... but really absurd to have to do this in this day and age.
and again: Media Composer Co-Installation Pro Tools has not been qualified for co-installation with any version of Avid Media Composer. http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?langid=4&navid=54&itemid=24489 i got this reply from digi support today. But........ MC 2.8 is working with the MBOX2 (audio in) and even better: NUENDO - installed on the same partion is working with the MBOX2
well now that Xpress Pro is dead.... how about it? come ON. nuendo doesn't do me any good. This is just STUPID! what a great way to limit your OWN sales than by cancelling out your OWN product... I can use Final Cut on the same system as my Pro Tools NO PROBLEM. (hey, maybe that's a good sales pitch for Apple...)
