I can't seem to find any information on an upgrade price for MC software version 2.8 to the new 3.0

Is this option still being worked out?

And it would be extra special double sweet if the MC software upgrade price just happened to be the same as the MCA upgrade price .

Any MC upgrade to 3.0 Pre -March 17 is $995.00. You can purchase through the Avid store.

So it costs $495 to upgrade from Xpress Pro and $995 to upgrade from Xpress DV, and the same $995 will get me from MC 2.8 to 3?

Great deal.   I can upgrade version 5 Pro to MC3 for $395 after not having paid any interim upgrades or assurance to get to version 5.8. Yet having brought MCA for full price. Paid 4 years of assurance for MC to be keep upto date (2.8x). Now Avid want me to pay $995 for a MC to MC upgrade.

This would hardly have been considered "new thinking" back when Noah was hearing a forecast for heavy rain.
