Raylight MXFX pulldown removal in AVID MEDIAFILES??

     Greetings,

I have edited an entire feature on AVID XPRESS.  It was shot with the HVX200 using a firestore 100.  The entire film was shot on 24p (non-advanced) and edited at 1080i/59.94.  I have outputed a 1080i/59.94 to HDCAM, HDV tape, and Various NTSC Digital Beta Masters.

The client now wants a HDCAM 1080/23.976p Master.

    A) what is the easiest way to do this output using RAYLIGHT MXFX

    and

    B) uh slight problem, when I initially imported all my MXF files into AVID I broke up the original CONTENT folder and dragged all the MXF files from the VIDEO and AUDIO folders into AVID MEDIAFILES subfolder MXF subfolder 1

When I either try to drag the AVID MEDIAFILES, MXF, 1, or the actual MXF files, into RAYLIGHT MXFX,  Raylight will give me an error

    XML PARSING ERROR INSIDE FILE

How do I do pulldown removal from MXF files that are already sorted in AVID MEDIAFILES folder? and how can i relink the EDL from a 1080i/59.94 project into a 1080/23.976p project

    thanx,

I suggest writing the sequence back to a P2 Card and using MXFX to perfrom the frame rate conversion from the clip on this card.

    Take a look at this:

     Thanks Bob,

Love your videos by the way.   When the video states writing back to a p2 card - does that mean an actual physical card? or a virtual p2 card.

Is it possible to write back the entire sequence feature to a Firestore 100 (160 gigs)?

The video is refering to an actual Physical P2 card. I don't know if it can write back to a FireStore.
