    best way to replace footage

    Hi,

I'm doing a lot of compositing on my footage outside of avid mc. I'm using low res mp4's exported from unfininished AE/shake composites to put a rough edit together.

Now I've finished the ae/shake composites and need to replace all the mp4 footage in the avid edit with high rez animation .mov files. What is the best/fastest/right way to do this?

I just want to take my low rez edit, abcdcdabda, and make it a high rez edit, ABCDCDABDA. How do i tell avid that I want a,b,c,d to now be A,B,C,D.

i know this is a really basic question but if someone has a minute to explain, it would be much appreciated.

    thanks,

Batch Import the composites, and set the pointers to the new hi-res files.
